Christmas Opening Times & Emergency Support – 2025/26

As the festive season approaches, we want to ensure everyone knows our Christmas opening times:

Warehouse:

  • Closed: End of day Tuesday, 23 December
  • Reopens: Friday, 2 January usual times.

Satellite Centres:

  • Last session before Christmas:
    • Caia Park – Tuesday, 23 December, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
  • First session in 2026:
    • Capel Y Groes – Friday, 2 January, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM

The Single Point of Access (SPOA)
01978 292066 (SPOA) is the central entry point for Adult and Children’s Social Care, acting as a first contact for anyone needing support for themselves, families, or vulnerable individuals, connecting them with the right council services.

Housing Options Team

Wrexham Council’s Housing Options Team helps people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness by providing advice, support, and temporary accommodation, aiming to keep people in their homes or find suitable alternatives -reachable 24/7 at 01978 292947.

The Wallich Wrexham

The Wallich  is a homelessness charity providing housing, support, and opportunities to help people get off the streets and build independent lives, offering services like temporary hostels.

StreetLink
To refer a person sleeping rough, you can use the StreetLink website or call their number. An outreach team will be alerted to connect the individual with local support services – 0300 500 0914
Street Pastors
Wrexham Street Pastors are trained volunteers from local churches who patrol the town centre on weekend nights to provide a reassuring presence, care, and practical help to vulnerable people, tackling issues by giving out water, blankets, and listening to those in need, to make the night-time economy safer. They are available in the town Centre on 12/12/2025 and 26/12/2025
Warm Spaces in Wrexham Library

Runs a community hubs, offering free, safe, warm, and welcoming environments with hot drinks and books. Call on 01978 292090

Food provision 

The Mindfulness Project

This holiday season, The Mindfulness Project is dedicated to supporting families in need with a variety of services.

From December 15th to December 19th, and again on Christmas Eve, the food truck will be operating around town, offering hot meals to families who may be struggling. We encourage everyone to come by and take advantage of this wonderful service.

On Christmas Day, The Mindfulness Project will have its hub open from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. They welcome those struggling to come have a friendly chat, a cup of coffee, and some festive treats including sweets, mince pies, and cakes.

Given to Shine 

Given to Shine Waste Warrior event will take place on Christmas Eve, with free to take food that would otherwise go to waste.

Costa @ Plas Coch Retail Park  Costa at the retail park will be opening its doors on Christmas Day from 10 AM to 2 PM for those in need, including the homeless or anyone feeling lonely during the holiday. They welcome those struggling for a chat, a warm space, and complimentary hot food and drinks.
The Delph 

The Delph will open its doors on Christmas Day at 11 AM, providing free meals to anyone vulnerable or isolated this Christmas:

• Those experiencing homelessness
• Former soldiers
• Elderly residents
• People with disabilities
• NHS staff working at Wrexham Maelor Hospital
