  1. WAREHOUSE MANAGER:  The trustees of the Foodbank are seeking to recruit a part time Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of the Foodbank warehouse in Wrexham. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to assist in the management of the Foodbank in Wrexham. The Warehouse Manager will lead a team of volunteers to provide effective stock control of food donations into and out of the Foodbank warehouse. This will involve co-ordination of timely transportation of donated food from supermarkets and other sites; overseeing the storage of food within the warehouse whilst meeting all necessary legislative standards i.e. Health & Safety/Environmental Health and working with Foodbank Centre Coordinators/ supervisors to ensure that they receive a streamlined service of support with food and other provisions. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate Warehouse Management experience, ideally gained working within the food industry or a retail supermarket. In addition, Applicants must have a full UK driving license and access to a car (mileage rates will be paid in accordance with HMRC AMAP rates).

          Salary: £17,290 – £18,300 per annum (pro-rata) plus pension contributions

          Hours: 18 hours per week, mainly during day. Some flexibility in working hours will be required and may include occasional weekend working

Contract period: The post will be a twelve-month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.

Probationary period: Confirmation of employment will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a three-month probationary period.

Working location: The Foodbank warehouse is currently based at 44 Dean Road, Wrexham but the post holder will also be required to visit the local distribution sites regularly. The location of the Foodbank Warehouse is subject to change.

Annual Leave: 25 days annual leave (pro rata) per year plus public holidays.

 

2) FOODBANK PROJECT MANAGER

Overview. The trustees of the Foodbank are seeking to recruit a part time Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of the Foodbank. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to manage the work of the Foodbank in Wrexham. The role will involve working with a diverse range of people, including trustees, the Trussell Trust, funders, supporters, supermarkets, churches, schools, volunteers, care professionals, clients and the general public. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate Project Management experience ideally gained working with a charity and / or dealing with vulnerable people. In addition, applicants must have a full UK driving license and access to a car (mileage rates will be paid in accordance with HMRC AMAP rates).

Salary: £19-22k per annum (pro rata) plus pension contributions.

Hours: 24 hours per week, mainly during day. Some flexibility in working hours will be required.
