It is encouraging to report that the Foodbank shelves are well stocked as we enter 2015. Thanks to the generosity of the Wrexham people we are in the wonderful position of struggling to accommodate all the donations! The Salvation Army have just about been able to continue to function ( and hold Sunday worship) as every room and cupboard has been filled with food. On Saturday 17th January a hard working team managed to date and sort the majority of the food and it is amazing what can be hidden under a stage. Just as well mind you that we are well stocked as the demand continues with 4556 clients fed so far in this financial year in response to 2014 voucher requests. We are averaging 55-60 vouchers per week so are well on track to exceed 2013-14 levels of demand.

UK foodbanks

The Trussell Trust's UK foodbank network works in partnership with local churches and communities to open foodbanks in local communities. There are now over 400 foodbanks in the UK. Last year the foodbank network fed over 900,000 people. Read more
