Once again the people of Wrexham and Cefn Mawr have donated very generously to the Foodbank over Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This was despite the Cefn Mawr store being closed for a long spell on Thursday due to a power cut! A hugely succesful collection brought in a total of 3,500 kgs so a big thanks to everyone who donated; to the Tesco staff who supported us,especially Ali and David the two Community Champions; and to our team of volunteers who handed out the shopping lists and to those who weighred, sorted and dated all the food donations!. We were visited by Ian Lucas MP and by 2 Welsh AMs Lesley Griffiths and Aled Roberts who all pledged their ongoing support for the work of the Foodbank and Ian even got involved in a trolley push ( see carousel photo!)
