At a time when we have had a 37% rise in the number of people fed in the first 6 months of this financial year the Tesco collection allows us to augment the stock already increased by the Harvest donations from schools and churches. The donation of Christmas puddings, chocolates and sweets as well as all the essential tins of soup, meat, fish etc allow us to add a festive flavour to our parcels as well as helping to fill nearly 300 Christmas hampers. These go out to local families and people who are really in need of a bit of cheer.
