Once again the customers of Tesco Wrexham Extra store have shown their support for Wrexham Foodbank. At our in store collection on Friday April 27th a fantastic 635.5 kilos of food was donated to us and we received much needed supplies of UHT milk, tinned meat, tinned rice pudding and coffee! On Saturday May 5th we were invited by Sainsburys to have a small display stand and to interact with customers. On a hot sunny Saturday the store was relatively quiet but we were able to make our presence known and received a couple of trolleys full of donations, so thank you to all those who donated. ASDA is also now working closely with the Trussell Trust and on the week beginning May 14th are hosting an event targeting food poverty. There will be a trolley to receive donations and representatives of the Foodbank will be in store in ASDA Wrexham to publicise our work on one day of that week.
